Our Guest: Dr. Amanda Weidman, Professor of Anthropology, Bryn Mawr College, USA
Dr. Amanda met with our Principal at 9.10 am in the Principal’s Room.
At 9.30 am, Dr. Amanda participated in the Interdisciplinary Lecture Series organized by the Office of International Programmes in Association with Department of Tamil and Department of History.
The lecture was titled, ‘Playback Singing and Cultural Politics in South India’.
At 11.30 am, Dr. Amanda met with College Officials and the Dean, R & D, the faculty of Tamil and History, in the Conference Hall, IGH, followed by lunch.
At 3.30 pm, Dr. Amanda was given a tour of the Campus. She visited the CWS Fashion Design Studio, the MMIP, the College Farm and MCTL.
At 7 pm, she was hosted by our Principal for dinner at Principal’s residence.
