VISA Meet with Dr. Blesson

Dear All,

Thank you for participating in the ‘Interact with Alumni Abroad’ Episode # 3 today.

The Zoom meet began at 6 pm and ended sharp at 7 pm.

Dr. Blesson began by outlining his career trajectory from his MCC Days.

Dr. Joyce, HoD, Dept of Zoology, introducing Dr. Blesson said that, Dr. Blesson had done his BSc & MSc (in Zoology) in MCC, and he was also adjudged the Best Outgoing Student of the Department.

Dr. Blesson highlighted the importance of building an impressive CV and a Resume, and he also outlined the huge difference between the two.

He outlined ways in which to contact prospective research supervisors in reputed Universities, and the process of writing an impactful Cover Letter.

Then he also gave valuable hints on what recruiting Universities look for, especially when it comes to a fully-funded study.

He then proceeded to orient students on integrity and honesty in assignments and research work, as part of Work Ethics and Culture in Universities.

He then gave a beautiful video shot of his work place. Dr. Blesson has also shared his contact details for prospective students to get in touch with him.

We shall meet again next week at 7 pm on Friday, 23rd August 2024 with an alumnus from the Department of Physics (Aided), who is doing his higher studies in Germany.
