Study Abroad / Twinning Programmes - Queen Mary has one of the UK's largest Study Abroad programme attracting over 1,000 students annually, who come to Queen Mary for one of two-semesters as part of their Undergraduate programme Students follow Queen Mary modules (3 or 4 per semester) and gain credit which is transferred back to their home institution. Students can choose from modules across a wide range of subjects and disciplines - you can see the list of available modules here.
Articulations (Undergraduate -2+2) / Dual degree programmes (Postgraduate 1+1)- under this collaboration, we bring together two programmes delivered independently by two institutions by mapping programmes across one another to create a new programme, where students spend some time at the home institution and some time at the partner institution. At Undergraduate level, articulations focus on two specific programmes; while at Postgraduate level, the 1+1 arrangements can include a number of different programmes (from Queen Mary's perspective). When in London, students will follow the curriculum of a Queen Mary degree programme, earning redits that contribute to both degree programmes. When successfully completed, students graduate with a degree from both institutions and have the opportunity to apply for the UK Graduate visa and can work in the UK for up to two years after they graduate.
Summer School_programme-we also offer students the opportunity to spend a short period of time during the summer months, where students follow one module taught intensively over a three-week period and gain credit that can be transferred back to their home institution.
Action Points
Given
you strengths in varied academic disciplines, we think this is a great
opportunity for US to collaborate together in the following areas,
1. Summer School Program for English Literature, Commerce, Psychiatric Social
Work, Psychology and Business administration in Summer 2024. (Brochure attached)
2. 3+1 Programe. Student from MCC after finishing the Under Graduate program (3 years) can go directly for PG in Queen Mary University (for one year) + apply for the UK Graduate visa and can work in the UK for up to two years after they graduate.
* MCC UG Course outlines have to be mapped for possible courses in QMU.
3. After working on this 1+1 and 2+2 dual degree program can be explored.
4. QMU requires a 14-day module for International Students to come to MCC (general and Specific Themes: Economics, Psychology, Sociology, Life Science, Chemistry& Physics, Business Administration, Commerce, History)
