Dinner with the Consul General of the Republic of Korea

Our Principal Dr. Paul Wilson, along with the Dean of International Programmes, Dr. Rufus, and the MCC-SCE Director Dr. Surendran Purushothaman, and Prof. Lee, met with the Consul General of the Republic of Korea, Mr. Chang-nyun KIM, at his residence, to discuss a range of collaborations between Korea and India.

In continuation of our discussions with the Chairman of J-Ark Logistics, Mr. Jung Yong Hwang on a host of initiatives including the Diploma Course in Shipping and Logistics, to be offered jointly by MCC-SCE and J-Ark Logistics, it was decided that 50% of Prof. Hwarang Lee’s salary will be borne by J-Ark Logistics. There was also a discussion on establishing a Centre for Korean Studies in the near future in MCC. The three-hour-long discussion was very productive and both the sides promised to take it forward in course of time.
