Sub: Interaction with our illustrious alumnus Dr. Murali Palangat, National Institutes of Health, USA, tomorrow, Wednesday, 13th November 2024 – Reg.

Dr. Murali Palangat, our illustrious alumnus (1980 – 85), (and a potential Nobel laureate for his path-breaking discoveries) from the National Institutes of Health, USA, will be visiting us in Campus on Wednesday, 13th November 2024.

[The National Institutes of Health, is the largest public funder of biomedical research in the world. It is the primary agency of the United States government responsible for biomedical and public health research].

During his visit, Dr. Murali Palangat will be interacting with students and research scholars.

Wednesday, 13th November 2024

10.30 am to 11.30 am - Interaction with PG students, research scholars and prospective researchers, [as part of MCC Research Colloquium], on “Dr. Murali’s path towards his present position with National Institutes of Health, US, from MCC”, coordinated by Dr. Vijay Solomon, Coordinator, MCC-RC, and Dr. P. Hanumantha Rao, Associate Dean, R & D (SFS).

2.30 to 3.30 pm – Interaction with HoDs, faculty members, and researchers interested in Cancer Biology (Bioinformatics & Genetics) on the topic, “Leveraging the power of studying one biomolecule at a time” organised by the Department of Microbiology, (in association with Office of Research & Development and Office of International Programmes), and coordinated by Dr. P. Hanumantha Rao, Associate Dean of Research & Development (SFS) in the Chemistry Seminar Hall.
